Our second graders had an unforgettable day exploring the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC โ the worldโs largest natural habitat zoo! Students walked through beautiful trails, spotted lions lounging in the sun, and learned about animals from all over the world. ๐ฆ๐ง
The NC Zoo, located right here in our state, is home to more than 1,700 animals and spans over 500 acres of natural habitats. Itโs a place where students can see wildlife up close and learn how conservation helps protect these amazing creatures.
Weโre so proud of our students for representing Shuford so well and for their curiosity, excitement, and love of learning. ๐

Our kindergarteners had the best time exploring Johnny Wilson Farm in Granite Falls, NC! This family-owned farm has been a community favorite for years, offering hands-on agricultural experiences for children and families alike. From visiting the animals ๐๐ to exploring the pumpkin patch ๐ and learning about how crops are grown ๐ฑ, our students got to see farm life up close and personal.
Not only did our students enjoy a fun fall field trip, but they also walked away with a deeper appreciation of where their food comes from and the hard work that goes into farming. โค๏ธ

๐๐ We had a wonderful day visiting the sixth-generation Perry Lowe Orchards in Moravian Falls with our first graders! The students explored the orchard, learned about apple growing, and got hands-on experience picking apples! ๐๐ณ
