Congratulations to our newest National Board Certified Teacher, Ms. Kenitra Waddell.
After a seven month wait since she submitted her components, the clock struck midnight 🕛 on Saturday, December 10th, and fireworks appeared on, 5th-Grade teacher, Ms. Waddell's screen confirming that she has entered the ranks 'of Board-certified teachers who are leading the teaching profession across the country'. Achieving National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available in K-12 education.

What is National Board Certification?
"The National Board’s certification process is designed to collect standards-based evidence of accomplished practice. In all 25 certificate areas, candidates are required to complete four components. The specific instructions will vary by certificate area, as will the standards assessed by each component."
