Shuford takes FIRST in the Newton-Conover City Schools Battle of the Books competition.
The competition was held on March 26th at Newton-Conover Middle School. To prepare for this competition, students on the Battle of the Books team read 15 books from a variety of genres before facing off against other schools within our district.
The team will move on to compete in the Regional Battle of the Books Competition, which will be held on April 25th.
We are so proud of Shuford's Battle of the Books Team and would also like to acknowledge the amazing staff who make this opportunity possible for our students. Thank you to Ms. Sauceda, Digital Learning Facilitator, and Ms. McCarthy, 4th-grade teacher.
