Good evening Red Devil families, we hope you have enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend. Here are a few announcements for the upcoming week at N-CHS.
Parents and students, please take advantage of our peer tutoring that is offered every Monday in Ms. Bandy's room. This will be for all subjects and will last until 3:30pm. As we are in the final quarter of this school year, this is a fantastic time to work on pulling grades up as we head into the last nine weeks of the semester and year.
As Spring weather is approaching, dress code is becoming an issue for students. Parents as our handbook states, and has been repeatedly reminded, cut-off shirts, tank tops, and shorts under fingertip length are not allowed at school. Students will be asked to call home for clothes and disciplinary action will begin. Please help us ensure our students are focused on finishing this Spring semester strong in the classroom.
Parents, please help us keep tardies from accumulating for students. Once students reach their 4th tardy, disciplinary action will begin. At student's 7th tardy to any class, In-School Suspension will result. Parents, remember that doors open at 7am and drop off will be in the front office lot. Please turn right into the lot and right out of the lot at the top of the road. This helps us maintain adequate flow of traffic and helps keep our Red Devils safe. Drop off/pick up is also NOT ALLOWED on the side of the road or on adjacent properties. We also ask that parents pull up to the farthest point in the parking lot to drop off your student. This helps us get as many cars and students in for drop off as possible.
Looking ahead, parents and students, please be aware that Spring Break will begin this Friday, April 7 and will last through April 14. There will be No School for students or staff on these dates. Please mark you calendars accordingly.
We hope you have a great evening and as always, Go Red Devils!

The N-CHS Red Devil Advanced C.O.R.E. took a college and career exploration field trip today around Catawba County. Students toured both CVCC and Lenior Rhyne campuses where they engaged in each schools specific programming, discussed College/Career Promise programs, discussed area industries and programming at each institution that matched, as well as college admissions. The group favorite of the day: The Simulation Hospital at CVCC! Thank you to both institutions for fabulous tours and for accommodating us. Likewise, thank you to our area K64 program and our
N-CCS Career and Technical Education Department for helping provide and plan for the trip.
